Some students may also qualify for free school transport if all of the possible walking routes from their home address to their catchment or nearest school are considered unsafe for them to walk when accompanied by an adult.

For further information or if you have concerns about the safety of the route, please see Safety of route between home and school. This gives full details about how routes are assessed for safety and how to request that a route is assessed.
