Pleasure boat licence must be obtained from the local authority both for the operation of pleasure boats to be let for hire to members of the public, or to be used for carrying passengers for hire.
The pleasure boat must comply with any authority or statutory conditions.
This type of licence is required for rowing boats, sailing boats and for ferries carrying less than 12 passengers.
