Encyclopaedia Britannica Student

For ages 10-14. Encyclopaedia Britannica Student is designed for middle/secondary school students.

Britannica Student has information for ages 12-18 and you can view featured spotlights; search biographies and important events; find out what happened on different days and years; select your own birthday or other dates you want to explore; take a guided tour; find out how to use the workspace to store information for topics and research.

Discover Europe using an interactive map and learn more about countries that you visit, or find out statistics and interesting facts you didn't know. Take a look at biography of the day or explore the Britannica spotlight archive for themes on topics about: black History, Nobel Prize-winners, tornadoes, Shakespeare, women who changed the world, dinosaurs or the Holocaust.

To find Encyclopaedia articles and content at another reading level, use the buttons at the bottom of the page to switch to a different level. Choose Encyclopaedia Britannica to find content for adults and A-level students. Choose Britannica Junior to find content for primary school students. Or you can choose the site for all levels and search all the encyclopaedias in Encyclopaedia Britannica Online Library Edition.

You can also see results from other levels by entering a word in the Search Again box, then selecting an Encyclopaedia from the menu and clicking Go.
