Coach parking

There are 5 spaces at £5 per coach, however pre-booked coaches are free of charge. Contact Purbeck District Council. This is a great facility for taking the Swanage Railway (opens in a new window) steam or diesel train to Corfe Castle and Swanage, and is the best way to avoid traffic congestion.

For more information about group travel in Dorset, download the Purbeck Group Travel guide (opens in a new window) or go to the Visit Dorset website (opens in a new window).

Train tickets

A separate train ticket will need to be purchased from Swanage Railway (opens in a new window) if you wish to travel by train to Corfe Castle, Harmans Cross, Herston or Swanage. Alternatively you can walk to Corfe Castle village using the footpath (approx 10 minutes to the National Trust Visitor Centre and another 10 minutes to the Castle entrance and Village Square), follow the signs from the end of the Railway Station platform towards Corfe Castle or download the village map (pdf, 240kb) (opens in a new window).
