The Priests Way

A short distance route connecting Swanage, Langton Matravers and Worth Matravers.

Follow in the footsteps of a medieval priest as you walk along the ancient track known as the Priests Way.

It passes between quarries and across open fields with spectacular views along the way. The walk finishes near one of Dorset's most famous pubs.

Walking boots recommended all year - wellington boots are better in winter and after heavy rain.

Public transport:
  • Swanage, Langton Matravers and Worth Matravers are on bus routes 40 and 44 - download bus timetables.

  • Travel Dorset will help to plan your journey.

Parking:Large car parks are available in Swanage (opens in a new window). There are small car parks in the villages of Worth Matravers, Acton and Langton Matravers, however spaces are very limited.
