Learn to use a computer and learn more computer sessions

Visit your local library and discover ways to get online and learn more about becoming digitally active.

All Dorset County Council libraries are registered Online Centres and support learning to use the computer and the internet through the Learn My Way website (opens in a new window). You can access this site on your own using the free library computers or at home.

All libraries can offer initial digital assistance at any time by facilitating access to relevant courses via Learn My Way or signposting to other venues running IT help sessions in the local area.

If you need help to get started online then join one of our regular sessions at a library near you.

You could help people to use computers and be more confident with the internet.

Become a Digital Champion in libraries

  • if you are aged 14-25 sign up as a Library Service Young People Digital Champion
  • if you are aged 18+ and interested in helping young people get involved with Code Club, why not volunteer via the Code Club website. A DBS certificate is required which can be arranged

Become a Digital Champion with Superfast Broadband

  • if you are 25+ then help to connect people as part of the Superfast Broadband programme
