  • borrow, return and reserve items in any LibrariesWest library
  • access to a wider range of stock through a bigger shared catalogue, offering 2.5 million items
  • use the LibrariesWest website and app to search, reserve and renew items 24/7
  • borrow up to 20 items with your library card
  • library charges are applied from the library where items are checked out
  • charges vary across LibrariesWest

If you use our online services:

  • from 7 June you need a 4 digit PIN.  Go to www.librarieswest.org.uk go to 'my account', click 'forgot my PIN' and follow the onscreen instructions. You will receive a link via e-mail to get your PIN.
  • Look out for our new app for easy access to your account and shared library catalogue

If you hire DVDs or music CDs:

  • there is now a weekly hire charge
  • for the latest films, checkout our premium DVDs.  Premium DVDs can only be reserved 8 weeks after being added to stock.  All other DVDs (standard) can be reserved immediately.

If you regularly collect books on behalf of someone who is unable to visit a library themselves:

You need to get the library card holder's permission to use the PIN number or ask staff about the Good Neighbour scheme.
