Strategic Flood Risk Assessment

Local Plans should be supported by Strategic Flood Risk Assessment and local authorities should develop policies to manage flood risk from all sources.

The latest version of the Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) has been a key document in the preparation of the Mineral Sites Plan, and the Waste Plan, and can be downloaded from the Submission Documents table. .

The National Planning Policy Framework ( NPPF (opens in a new window)) paragraphs 100-104 requires that Local Plans should be supported by a Strategic Flood Risk Assessment.

The current Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) for Minerals and Waste Planning in Dorset was prepared by Halcrow in 2010 and is provided below as a series of maps and associated report.
