Purbeck gambling licenses

We are responsible for:

  • licensing premises for gambling activities

  • considering notices given for temporary use of premises for gambling

  • granting permits for gaming and gaming machines in clubs

  • regulating gaming and gaming machines in premises licensed for alcohol

  • granting permits to family entertainment centres for certain lower stake gaming machines

  • granting permits for prize gaming

  • considering notices given for occasional betting at tracks

  • registering small societies' lotteries

Complete the relevant application form and return in to us:

Copies of your application must be send to the responsible authorities.

Gambling Act 2005 Statement of Principles Consultations

We are required under The Gambling Act 2005 to consult and determine our Statement of Principles.

You can submit comments on the draft Statement of Principles

The closing date for submitting comments is 16 May 2018.

Submit a comment

When making a comment, you should include:

  • your name
  • any organisation or persons you may be responding on behalf of
  • your address
  • the specific policy (policies) you are commenting on
  • a brief description of any specific interest you have in gambling matters (for example you may be involved with existing gambling premises, vulnerable persons/children's groups, or be an individual or business affected by gambling premises near to you)

Comments can be made by email or in writing.

The consultation will run from 12 March 2018 until 16 May 2018 inclusive and any comments received in that time will be considered.

Once the consultation has ended, the document will be presented to the council to be adopted. The finalised Statement of Principles will then be published on this page.
