Volunteering opportunities

Find out volunteering at your local Children's Centre.

Each centre welcomes any parent or supporter who would like to help us provide valuable services to the community. Volunteering is a great addition to your CV too and can help to improve your skills and employment opportunities.

There are many different ways you can get involved:

  • do you have a 'can do' attitude, good listening skills and don't mind getting messy?
  • are you creative or good at crafts?
  • are you musical or enjoy reading and would be happy to help out at our singing rhymes or story time sessions?
  • do you have green fingers and can help out in our lovely outdoor spaces?
  • are you able to drive and be willing to train to drive our 8 seater mini buses?
  • are you happy to put the kettle on and make a cup of tea?
  • do you like playing with children and are happy to talk to anyone?

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All volunteers will be required to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in line with the government's safer recruitment guidelines.
