Dorset Communities Forum

Dorset Communities Forum Logo

The Dorset Communities Forum was established to bring together Dorset's voluntary organisations and communities.

The forum was established in September 2011 to identify and communicate the key needs of communities, to find solutions that help meet those needs and develop a collective voice for the voluntary and community sector.

The forum aims to make links with other partnerships (pdf, 187kb) (opens in a new window) and elects representatives (word, 90kb) (opens in a new window) to some of the partnerships.

Become a member of the Forum

  • are you passionate about the future of Dorset's communities?
  • do you think that we should be valuing our community organisations more?
  • do you think that we receive the recognition that we deserve?

We invite you to join us as a member of the Dorset Communities Forum.

The benefits of becoming a member include:

  • keeping up to date with what support is available for your group, including funding and support services;
  • enabling your voice to be heard through the Forum on topics that matter to you from health and well being, to rural enterprise;
  • finding out what future opportunities there are for your group to deliver services from healthy walking groups to drug and alcohol services;
  • influence decision making with our public sector partners.

For more information see our Terms of Reference (pdf, 114kb) (opens in a new window). If you would like an informal discussion about the forum contact Laura Cornette. Or to apply to become a member, please complete and return the registration form (word, 64kb) (opens in a new window).
