Planning Committee - Purbeck

The role of the Planning Committee

The Planning Committee has responsibility for:

  1. deciding applications under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and related Acts (including applications for Listed Building Consent and dealing with all other matters about Listed Buildings under the provisions of the Planning (Listed Building and Conservation Areas) Act 1990);
  2. making of tree preservation orders under section 198 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990;
  3. making of directions under Article 4 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 1995; and
  4. the enforcement of planning controls.
