The Chairman of North Dorset District Council

The Chairman of North Dorset District Council is Councillor Valerie Pothecary. She was elected Chairman by her fellow councillors at the Annual Meeting of Council in May 2018.

Vice Chairman is Councillor Audrey Burch.

Invitations

Invitations can be made in the form of a letter or by email. In view of the Chairman's busy schedule, it is essential all invitations are made through the Civic Office giving as much notice as possible. The Civic and Ceremonial Officer will contact you upon receipt of your invitation.

Invitations are dealt with in the order that they are received and as many engagements are accepted many months in advance it is best to plan well ahead. The Chairman is unlikely to be able to accept an invitation at less than 14 days notice.

Booking

Once it has been confirmed the Chairman is able to attend your event or function, you may be asked to complete an engagement form. The information requested is important to ensure that all the arrangements can be made for the Chairman, (or Vice Chairman should the Chairman not be available), to attend your function. It also gives the Chairman the opportunity to find out more about the event and your organisation beforehand.
