Avon Heath Country Park and Eastern Area Sites - Volunteers
Come and help us manage and conserve our sites across East Dorset.
Our volunteers contribution makes such an amazing difference to the Country Park – from practical conservation tasks to helping out in the visitor centre, building pond dipping platforms, updating office records, counting orchids on South Park and butterflies around our transect route.
Volunteering is a great way to meet other like-minded people, enjoy some fresh air, learn more about the Country Park, and in some cases keep fit and learn new skills. You pick and choose the dates and tasks you come to, to fit in with your commitments:
- Regular volunteering tasks at Avon Heath Country Park on Thursdays and one Sunday a month during autumn and winter
- Help run events and cover the shop during holidays and weekends
- Every Tuesday, come and help the area team on Rights of Way across East Dorset
- Regular volunteering opportunities at Slop Bog Nature Reserve and occasional ones along the Castleman Trailway
Please contact us for any more information. We look forward to seeing you!
