Avon Heath Country Park and Eastern Area Sites - Volunteers

Come and help us manage and conserve our sites across East Dorset.

Avon Heath always welcomes new volunteers. Their contribution makes such an amazing difference to the Country Park - from building pond dipping platforms, to updating office records, shop stocktake and counting orchids on South Park and butterflies around our transect route.

Information on volunteering

We have regular volunteering tasks at Avon Heath Country Park on Thursdays and one Sunday a month during autumn and winter. There are also regular volunteering opportunities at Slop Bog Nature Reserve and occasional ones along the Castleman Trailway.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to meet other like-minded people, enjoy some fresh air, learn more about the Country Park, and in some cases keep fit and learn new skills. You pick and choose the dates and tasks you come to, to fit in with your commitments.

Please contact us for any more information. We look forward to seeing you!
