Eco-schools and sustainable schools Spring networking

Another chance for Eco-Coordinators to discuss and share Eco-Schools practice with other schools in the area and meet council support officers. Plus ideas and opportunities from local organisations.

Programme includes:

  • learning walk around Bovington Primary School to look at Forest Schools and outdoor learning
  • great ideas from local Eco-Coordinators on Eco topics, including solar energy, design and enterprise projects
  • special guests Litter Free Dorset and the Sustrans energy bike!
  • Eco-Schools advice and trouble-shooting

CPD training: Eco-Schools What Why and How?

How you can use Eco-Schools to advance your school's mission and values, and do your bit for a more sustainable future!

Ideal for anyone just starting out as an Eco-Coordinator or taking over the role from someone else, this training will cover everything you need to know to start a meaningful and effective Eco-Schools programme in your school.

You'll learn how the Eco-Schools awards work, how they can enhance your school's curriculum and ethos, and how to go about planning your school's next steps.

This course will be delivered by Dorset County Council's Sustainable Schools Officer and a local Eco-Coordinator from a Green Flag Eco-School. With lots of great examples from around Dorset, this session will provide all the inspiration and practical guidance you need to help you find your Eco-feet!
