Highways Act 1980 

Dorset County Council (Parts of Footpaths 30,31 and 33, Stour Provost) Public Path Diversion Order 2006

Notice is hereby given that the above Order, duly made on 21 July 2006, has been submitted for confirmation to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

The Order has been opposed and therefore can be confirmed only by the Secretary of State. An Inspector will be appointed by the Secretary of State to determine the Order. One objection was received but withdrawn on the proviso that modifications are made to the Order before confirmation. The Order has therefore been submitted to be considered for confirmation, with modifications. 

As there there are no objections to the Order, an Inspector will now be asked to prepare a decision based on the papers on file.

The public inquiry into the above Order will be held at 10am on Tuesday 23 July 2019, at Thorncombe Village Hall, Chard Street, Thorncombe, Chard, Somerset, TA20 4ME. The inquiry is currently scheduled to last one day. The length of the inquiry will partly depend on the number of witnesses who give evidence.
