Dorset Youth Creative Ensemble
Dorset Youth Creative Ensemble will be held at the stunning Bryanston School featuring a full-course residency with Jon James, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Associate, for a week of downright musical madness, which will culminate in a final night concert in the magnificent Tom Weare concert hall.
Running over 5 days during the summer holidays the Dorset Youth Creative Ensemble will be led by Jon James and a first class team of musicians and educators supporting young musicians who will further their skills, understanding, and appreciation of music (from all styles!).
Sessions focus on a range of key jazz, classical, folk, pop and rock techniques and styles. Throughout the 5 days there will also be many opportunities to practice improvisation, composition and performance. All of this leads to a fantastic final Friday evening performance which is open to an invited audience of family and friends.
Working in a concentrated yet relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the combination of the course, tutors, and facilities make for a highly enjoyable and worthwhile musical experience.
Monday 30 July to Friday 3 August 2018
