Dorset Low Carbon Economy Programme

Dorset's ERDF-funded Low Carbon Economy Programme

The Dorset Low Carbon Economy Programme is a new 3 year programme of activities funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to help stimulate growth in Dorset's low carbon economy. The Programme, worth £6.4 million, will be run by Dorset County Council and the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The programme will provide free technical advice and financial support to local business, community and public sector organisations to deliver carbon reduction projects in Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole.

What's involved?

The Dorset Low Carbon Economy Programme consists of:

  • free technical support to help organisations identify, develop and deliver successful low carbon projects, products or processes
  • a £2.15 million Dorset Low Carbon Economy Fund to provide grants towards project implementation
