CPD - CharangaMonday 25 September 2017Durweston Village HallThis course will give an overview of the online resource Charanga and talk participants through the basic functions including building a lesson resource bank and accessing schemes of work.
CPD - Ways Into Part SingingThursday 28 September 2017FerndownThis course will give participants the confidence to develop part singing in the school. It will provide you with simple ideas and songs to get you started and open up a whole new world of choral singing for your students.
Music Coordinator Network Meeting (Middle)Monday 13 November 2017Durweston Village HallAn opportunity for Music Coordinators from Dorset middle schools to get together and receive information about music education.
CPD - Building a School ChoirThursday 20 November 2017Colliton Club, DorchesterA course for school staff who are looking to start a school choir but not sure where to start. This course is aimed at setting up a school choir and building it up from the ground. Participants will learn the basics of choir singing, how to set up a school choir and how to choose repertoire that will engage students. Participants will go away with a bank of resources to get them started including warm up songs.

CPD - Composing in the Primary ClassroomThursday 25 January 2018Durweston Village HallThis course if ideal for teachers who are unsure of how to start composition in their classrooms and develop students ideas into a piece of music that sounds tuneful. You will go away with tips and ideas on how to feel confident in delivering this area of the music curriculum.
CPD - Ukulele for the Whole ClassWednesday 31 January 2018Durweston Village HallThis course is the perfect introduction to ukulele teaching and playing, guiding you from total beginner through to being able to teach a half term block of work.
CPD - Percussion for the ClassroomTuesday 20 February 2018Durweston Village HallThis course will introduce primary and middle school teachers to a variety of percussion instruments and show how to build layers into music and play as a percussion ensemble. Activities will range from Bamboo Tamboo to chair drumming and you will leave the session feeling confident to use the percussion equipment in your school to form your very own ensemble.
CPD - Garage Band for iPadMonday 12 March 2018Ferndown & Colliton Club, DorchesterThis course aims to give participants the chance to explore GarageBand on the iPad and plan how to use it in curriculum music lessons. Participants will be given an iPad to use for the session and guided through new GarageBand works and what can be done with it in a school setting to encourage the use of ICT in teaching and learning.

CPD - Pop and Rock in the KS 2 ClassroomTuesday 27 March 2018Dorford Centre, DorchesterThis course will show you how to teach pop and rock songs to your students to form your own class band. Participants will be shown how to put songs together that are suitable for all students to play and enjoy regardless of ability.
