Terms and Conditions of use
Permits are issued subject to the current East Dorset District Council Off Street Parking Places Consolidation Order and to the following general terms and conditions:
long stay parking permits are valid for up to 10 hours in the following car parks: Allenview North and West, Poole Road, Westfield Close Main and Extension, Pye Corner, Leigh Road and Old Road. When used in conjunction with a parking clock they are valid for up to 2 hours (with return to the same car park within 1 hour prohibited) in Allenview South, King Street, Hanham Road, Park Lane and Penny's Lodge, Ferndown
long stay parking permits and clocks are not valid in Co-op (Crown Mead), Waitrose (Rowlands Hill), High Street, Deans Court or Walford Mill car parks
parking clocks can only be used with a valid parking permit
the parking permit is not transferable and is not valid on any vehicle except that specified on the electronic permit. To change your registration number, please use the online system
vehicles are admitted and left at the owner's risk. East Dorset District Council will not be liable for any loss or damage to the vehicle or its contents unless caused by the negligence of the Council
the issue of all types of parking permits and parking clocks is subject to the vehicle being of a type authorised and used in accordance with the Parking Order(s) currently in force. The council reserves the right to withdraw the use of parking permits and clocks and will issue a Penalty Charge Notice for infringements of the Parking Order(s)
the offer of a parking permit or clock places no obligation on the council to provide a parking space
if you change your home address during the lifetime of the parking permit please amend using the online system
in the event of a query about parking permits please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org quoting your name, address and vehicle registration number in any correspondence
Vehicle Excise Licence and Certificate of Insurance
Parking permit holders are reminded that it is a condition of the current East Dorset District Council Off Street Parking Places Consolidation Order that the specified vehicle must be properly and currently taxed and insured when located in any of the council car parks specified in the Order.
Road Traffic Act 1991
Permit holders are advised that it is an offence to ignore direction signs, arrows and speed restrictions in off street car parks. Prosecution can be brought by the Police under the above Act.
Refunds for whole months unused are available subject to the deduction of a handling charge. At certain times of the year the council reserves the right to grant free parking. No refund of the permit fee will be made in respect of such periods.

East Dorset District Council will use any data provided within this application form for the issuing of parking permits and the detection of outstanding enforcement notices. It may also be disclosed to other departments within the council or external parties for related purposes or as required by law. All processing of this data will be in accordance with GDPR 2018.
Personal and sensitive personal information can include, for example, your name, address, email address, registration number and any physical health information provided at the time of application.

This authority is required by law to protect the public funds it administers. It may share information provided to it with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds, in order to prevent and detect fraud.
