North Dorset Local Land Charges - local authority searches
We carry out local authority searches.
We also maintain the Local Land Charges Register.
All information on this page is for land or properties in the North Dorset District Council boundary. You can check which area your land or property is in if you're not sure.
We maintain a statutory register of local land charges. We update it daily to make sure the information given to conveyancers is accurate.
We also deal with requests for local authority searches. This involves:
- providing the answers to form LLC1 enquiries
- facilitating the responses to the CON29 enquiry forms
Get the form.
We encourage all of our customers to submit their Local Land Charges Enquiry via email as opposed to through the post.
Therefore, our preferred method of payments are:
- by credit/debit card – An Officer will call and take payment on the day a search is submitted via email
- by electronic provider NLIS or TM where payment can be made by BACS.
We are electronically connected to NLIS and TM; you can both send and receive searches electronically. For more information please visit the NLIS website or the TM Group website.
We regret searches can only be cancelled on the day of receipt, providing information has not already been entered onto our system. After this time work will have commenced on your application.
