New Waste Plan
The new Waste Plan identifies sites for new waste management facilities to meet the county's needs. Once adopted, it will provide the policy framework for determining planning applications for waste management facilities up to 2033.
Modifications to the Waste Plan
The Waste Plan was submitted to the planning inspectorate on 29 March 2018 for examination, and public hearings took place in June.
As a result of the examination process, a number of modifications are proposed to the Pre-Submission Draft Waste Plan that was submitted. Consultation on the proposed modifications closed on 15 October 2018.

Examination of the Waste Plan
Inspector Nicholas Palmer BA (Hons) BPI MRTPI has been appointed as the independent Inspector to conduct the examination into the soundness of the Waste Plan.

Preparing the Waste Plan
