Examination of the North Dorset Local Plan - 2011 to 2026 Part 1

The North Dorset Local Plan - 2011 to 2026 Part 1 and associated documents was submitted to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government on 5 December 2014 for independent examination.

Post-hearing update

Consultation on the proposed Main Modifications to the Local Plan Part 1 took place from 24 July to 18 September 2015. Responses received can be viewed on the Main Modifications Consultation Responses page.

The  Inspector's Preliminary Findings (MHD049) and draft main Modifications were considered by the full  Council at a meeting on 26 June 2015. The additional written work requested by the Inspector, consultation responses to the additional work received from participants and our response to this can be viewed on the Mid Hearing Documents page.

Planning Inspector

Planning Inspector Mr David Hogger has been appointed to conduct the examination of the North Dorset Local Plan 2011 to 2026 Part 1, to determine whether the Local Plan is sound.

Main Modifications to the Local Plan Part 1

Following the hearing sessions into the Local Plan the Inspector has written to us with his  Preliminary Findings (MHD049), advising of issues raised which he considers would be best dealt with as Main Modifications. We consulted on the proposed Main Modifications to the Local Plan from 24 July 2015 to 18 September 2015 and have forwarded all consultation responses to the Inspector.

Local Plan Issue Statements

Additional documents, Schedule of proposed changes (NDDC Hearing Change 1), Dorset Leaders' Growth Board Governance Review (NDDC Issue 1B), Stalbridge Opt in to Local Plan Part 2 resolution (NDDC Issue 1C), Policy 8 Affordable Housing track changes (NDDC Issue 4B) and Pegasus letter Issue 9 Shaftesbury (NDDC Issue 9B) were added to this page on 5 March 2015.

Mid Hearing Documents
