To construct a shared use footway / cycleway from Hampreston Cross to Canford Bottom roundabout

To provide a safe route for pedestrians and cyclists between Hampreston, Longham and Canford Bottom.

Verge widths are sufficient for most of its length to provide a footway/cycleway. However, there is a short section of narrow verge which may require land currently in private ownership.

Scheme objectives

  • improve safety
  • reduce dependency on a car
  • complete the link from Longham to the Castleman Trailway

Cost and funding

The total estimated cost of the above scheme is £250,000.
