All programmes are bespoke to meet your educational needs and costs, and tailored to your curriculum.
Activities may be carried out either by Carey staff, the school (or group) or a mix of both. This will be decided on when designing your programme. For all Carey led activities, school or group staff will be asked to provide support.
We have the capacity to sleep up to 150 people in our bell tent accommodation.
See the tables for a sample programme for a 3 day, 2 night residential for children. This programme is based on 32 school children.
Introduction, tour of site, allocation of tents and staff briefing
Packed lunch (bring their own on the first day)
Bespoke activity programme which could include low ropes and blindfold trail/traverse wall
Evening activities (self staffing using Carey resources such as North Carey walk/film night), hot chocolate and preparation for bed
Bespoke activity programme which could include archery and orienteering
Bespoke activity programme which could include shelter building and fire lighting
Breakfast, carry out duties and tidy
Pack bags and tent inspection
Team building and problem solving activities
Packed lunch and visit shop
Leave the site
