Swimming sessions at QE Leisure Centre

Aquafit

Aquafit is an excellent all over workout that uses the resistance of water to reduce the stress on your joints. Find out more on our exercise classes page.

Disability swimming

A general recreational swim session specifically for those swimmers with a disability. A disabled hoist or easy access steps are available at these sessions.

General swimming

A swim session open to any swimmers for recreational use. In addition, one lane will be provided for those swimmers wishing to swim lengths.

Lane swimming

These sessions are for swimmers that wish to swim continuous lengths at their leisure. Three lanes will be provided; slow, medium and fast.

Parent and baby/toddler swimming

A gentle introduction for the parent and child in a relaxed and friendly environment for your first experiences in water.

Way of Life swimming

The Way of Life swim sessions are for people who have been referred by the GP and are on the scheme. The pool temperature is boosted for comfort. See our Active 4 Health page for more information on referrals.

Wet n Wild

Pool session with large inflatable in the pool. This session has a maximum age limit of 16 years.

Children must be able to swim 25 metres unaided in deep water to be able to go on the inflatable. The inflatable will only go in the pool if there are enough children attending the session.
