Two Riversmeet Park

This is the name we are using at the moment for the proposed new park for residents in Christchurch. This will be a distinctive and integrated public space opening up new recreational opportunities close to the centre of the town. It will also help to protect more vulnerable habitats in Christchurch. By changing the golf course to general open space with recreational usage more residents will have greater benefit from the area, whilst still taking in the beautiful surrounding landscapes with panoramic views of Christchurch Harbour, the Priory and Hengistbury Head.

This project, which has now been approved by the council, will involve site enhancements and improvements by providing new fencing, paths, landscaping and connecting access points. The existing Information Centre will become a focal point providing residents, the wider public and stakeholder information, education and engagement across the whole park.
