Weymouth Paddlesports Academy

We are a well-established centre with a reputation for delivering first-class paddling experiences.

The Weymouth Paddlesports Academy is perfectly situated on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. It benefits from easy access to a variety of high quality paddling venues to ensure you maximise your time learning rather than travelling. Within 8 miles of the centre you can find:

  • sheltered harbours and bays
  • the Fleet tidal lagoon
  • moving water
  • tidal races
  • rock hopping
  • sea caves

We have a range of boats and high quality coaches to meet your paddling needs. Courses are available for adults and children from 8 years old.

Overnight stays

For these training courses you can camp indoors in one of our classrooms for £13 a night (bring your own bed!). You would have full use of our facilities which includes:

  • kitchen, toilets and showers
  • a secure car park
  • boat storage
  • drying room
  • Wi-Fi   

Private group bookings

Arrange your own group for recreational paddling or a BC course.

One to one

We offer one to one coaching in all activities with our range of high quality and experienced coaches. Maximise your enjoyment and progress with a session that suits your pace and learning style.

Family and friends

Treat your family to a fun activity session that you can enjoy together.

Book a course

To book onto a course please fill out a booking consent form (pdf, 43kb) (opens in a new window) and return it to the Centre, with full payment, by post, email or in person. Once the form is returned and a payment has been made we will confirm your place and send you joining instructions, at the latest 10 days before the course starts.

Payment can be made by credit/debit card, by cheque, made payable to the Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre (WOEC), or by cash (in person only).
