Parking permits for Weymouth and Portland car parks

It is possible to purchase parking permits for a number of car parks in Weymouth & Portland.  Permits allow the user to park their vehicle in any of the long stay car parks as listed below.

Details shown on permits are: valid car parks, permit number, valid from date and expiry date.

Parking Permit Conditions of Use:

1. When a vehicle is parked on any day the original permit issued by the council (no photocopies) must be displayed so that all of the details on its front side (permit number, expiry date etc) are clearly visible through the front windscreen of the vehicle
2. The vehicle must be parked wholly within a parking bay
3. The permit remains the property of Weymouth & Portland Borough Council and it can be withdrawn for misuse
4. The issue of a permit does not guarantee the holder a parking space, nor does it render WPBC subject to any liability in respect of loss or damage to any vehicle or its contents or fittings
5. The responsibility for applying for the renewal of a permit rests with the holder
6. Should you lose your permit for change your vehicle please phone 01305 838236 and quote your permit number.  A charge of £15 will be made for the replacement of lost permits.
7. A vehicle is likely to be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice if the permit is expired, not displayed correctly or not for the relevant vehicle or car park
8. A Penalty Charge Notice may be issued to any vehicle parked in contravention of the requirements of the current Weymouth & Portland (Off-Street) Parking Places Order

Weekly permits are valid for use on any seven consecutive days between 1 April and 31 March.

Weekly parking permits are valid for use on any seven consecutive days from the minute of purchase. For example, you buy your ticket at 10.37am on a Tuesday, it will be valid until 10:37am the following Tuesday. Please contact us should you require any assistance.

Parking permits for coaches

• £814 - Annual (valid for use 1 April to 31 March)

• £40 - Weekly (valid for use any seven consecutive days 1 April to 31 March)

Both cover the following car parks:

• Lodmoor car park, Weymouth (Coach/Lorry parking area only)

• Chesil car park, Portland

• Masonic car park, Portland

• Portland Bill car park, Portland (Coach parking area only)

Parking permits for lorries

• £930 - Annual (valid for use 1 April to 31 March)

• £44 - Weekly (valid for use any seven consecutive days 1 April to 31 March)

Both cover the following car parks:

• Lodmoor car park, Weymouth (Coach/Lorry parking area only)

• Masonic car park, Portland
