The library offers access to a wide range of services including books for adults and young people. 

There are regular Rhyme Times  for young children with Chatterbooks, Saturday Homework Help, Blast a Children's One Act Play Reading Group and Page Turners Reading Group for  school age children during term times. A selection of feature films and music to hire, reference and information services, local history.

Adult services include monthly meetings of Book Chat Reader Review Group held in the main library. Readers have the opportunity to share their reading recommendation of the past month and browse a selection of titles over refreshments. Small Group sessions include Reminiscence Hour, Take a Chance Readers Group, Family History Group and a Visually Impaired Reading Group - short stories and poetry.

The Home Library Service is delivered from Verwood Library in partnership with the Royal Voluntary Service. If you are housebound or unable to get to the library or know someone that is, we may be able to arrange for books to be delivered to your home free of charge at regular 3 week intervals by volunteers. Please contact Verwood Library for more information.

It also provides internet access for all. To find out more about accessing on-line resources there is a monthly Dorset For You information session about how to get the most out of your library membership from home. Please contact the library directly for more information and dates. Places are limited and to avoid disappointment please book to secure your place.

Citizen's Advice Bureau holds a drop-in surgery between 10am - 12.30pm every first and third Thursday of the month.
