Sexual abuse

Sexual violence is under-reported and has long-lasting effects in terms of physical, mental and sexual health problems for victims and families.

The issue of sexual violence has been growing nationally and internationally in recent years. Partners across Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole have joined forces to tackle this problem. It is a joint strategic priority across the Community Safety Partnerships.

The government is committed to ensure effective partnerships to deliver services and to improve justice and health outcomes for victims of sexual violence.
